Sherwood Price Young was born in Sherman county, Texas on April 22, 1890.

He departed this life on Marcch 8, 1948 in Dumas, Texas at the age of 51 years, 10 months and 14 days.

He was married to Miss Ceclle {Line not legable}. To this union were born five children, two sons and three daughters.

The mother and one daughter, Mavis Lillian have preceded the husband and father in death.

He leaves to mourn his loss, two sons, Coy Odis Young of Ulysses, Kansas; and Darrell Price Young of Dumas, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. C. H. Ratliff and Wilma Margarete Young, both of Dumas, Texas; two half brothers, John and Jim Young; and six sisters, together with five grandchildren and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Thursday March 11, 1948 2:00 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Reydon with the pastor, Rev. D. L. Heath, in charge, assisted by Rev. R. K. Whitaker, Baptist pastor.

Burial was in White Rose cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma by the side of his wife.
