William "Bill" Shelton

William "Bill" Shelton was born November 6, 1928 in Herring, Oklahoma to Willie and Otis Shelton. He passed away November 26, 2004 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years and 20 days.

Bill graduated from Reydon High School in 1946.

He attended Weatherford State College and graduated from West Texas State College with a BS in Business Administration.

He was married to Willa Jeane Brewer at Clovis, New Mexico on November 17, 1951.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

After his discharge they lived in Amarillo, Texas where Bill worked for Lee Way Motor Freight.

They moved to Tulsa and Oklahoma City before moving to Allison in 1967 to make their home.

Bill owned and operated the Allison Grain and Farm Supply until his retirement in 1980 when they moved to their farm east of Allison where Bill continued to farm and ranch.

He was a member of the Reydon First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister-in-law.

Survivors include his wife Willa Jeane of the home; two sons Mark and Jane Shelton of Perkins, Oklahoma; Rusty Shelton of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one brother, Don Shelton of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Ryan and Casey Shelton, Chris, Jared, Laura and Sarah; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Interment in the White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel, Cheyenne. Oklahoma.
