Mandy Ellen West was born December 28, 1886 in the state of Missouri and passed away in Cheyenne, Oklahoma January 21, 1960 after a month's illness, at the age of 73 years and 23 days.

On January 10, 1905 she was married to Frank H. West age Guthrie, Oklahoma.  She with her family came to Roger Mills County in 1911 and settled at old Rankin.  She was a member of the Reydon Baptist church.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lela Cox of Carter, Oklahoma and Mrs. Ethel Morgan of Richmond, Oklahoma; three sons, Murl West of Reno, Nevada, Burl West of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Billy West of Canyon, Texas; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Effie Jones of Yale, Oklahoma; Mrs. Alice Hizer of Fresno, California; and Mrs. Maggie Wells, Mountian Air, New Mexico and a host of other relatives.

Funeral services were held Sunday, January 24, 1960 at the Baptist church in Reydon with Rev. Lynn Heard, pastor, officiating.

Interment was in the White Rose cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma beside her husband
