Elizabeth Alice Callahan Cantrell

Elizabeth Alice Callahan Cantrell was born November 13, 1894 at Granbury, Texas and departed from this life April 11, 1944 at the age of 49 years, four months and 29 days. She moved to Strong City, Oklahoma in 1904 and was united in marriage to Truman Cantrell on September 2, 1913. To this union seven children were born, all of whom survive.

She united with the Pentecostal church in 1908 and lived a faithful Christian life from that date until her death.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Truman Cantrell of Durham, Oklahoma; four sons, three daughters, two daughters-in-law, one son-in-law, and nine grandhildren who are: Cpl. and Mrs. William A. Cantrell and children of Crawford, Oklahoma; B. L. Cantrell of Durham; Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Barker and children of Lodi, California; Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Cantrell of Lodi, California; Margaret Cantrell; Elmer Lee Cantrell;, and Ruth Cantrell, all of Durham.

All the children were present except one daughter, Mrs. Elbert Barker who was unable to attend. She also leaves four sisters and two brothers who are, Mrs. Mamie Davis, Summerville, Texas; Mrs. Cynthia Rizley, Cheyenne; Mrs. Linnie Perry, Muskogee, Oklahoma; Mrs. Maggie Robinson, Strong City; Alex Callahan, Rochester, Texas; Jim Callahan, Cheyenne; and a host of other relatives and friends.

One sister and one brother preceded her in death.

Interment was in the White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
