Frances Lorena Davis Scott was born May 5, 1916 in Roll, Oklahoma to Bernice Julia Toal and Francis Marion Davis. She passed away November 24, 2002 in the Cheyenne Care Center at the age of 86 years, 6 months, 19 days.

Frances attended school at Breezy Meadow and Strong City schools.

She was married to Arthur Ferman Scott at Erick, Oklahoma on October 19, 1932. They made their home in the Strong City, Oklahoma community for 58 years. To this union two girls were born, Roberta Jo and Loretta Bo.

Frances became a Christian in 1928, and was a member of the First Baptist Church at Strong City, Oklahoma before moving her membership to the First Baptist Church in Cheyenne, Oklahoma in 1949.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved having her family and friends in her home.

She taught Sunday School Class for ladies and teenage girls for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband Art; four sisters and twin grandsons, Kirk David and Cary Dean Clasp.

She leaves to mourn her passing, two daughters and sons-in-law, Loretta and Connie Fults of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Roberta and Dwayne Clapp of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Beverly Kirkpattick, Gene Fults, Gerry Fults, Shelly Clapp, Sharla Clapp, Shawn Clapp and Shannon Clapp; sixteen great grandchildren, Christina Roach, Mitchel Fults, Cassandra Fults, Alexander Fults, Eveleena Fults, Amy Young, Trace Kirkpatrick, Ty Kirkpatrick, Heather Kirkpatrick, Lorena Gutierrez, Christofer and Nicolas Gutierrez, Aaron Clapp, Amanda Clapp, Joshua and Benjamin Clapp; three great great grandchildren, Bryer, Sayth and Kenya Roach; one brother, Weldon Davis and wife, Nelda of Strong City, Oklahoma; one sister, Ruby Daw of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Services were held Wednesday, November 27, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. at Cheyenne First Baptist Church. Interment in Strong City Cemetery, Strong City, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under direction of Whinery Funeral Service.

Honorary casket bearers were Billy Chalfant, Chink Beaty, Collier Tracy, Johnny Grant and Leland Burns.

Casket bearers were Gene Fults, Gerry Fults, Trace Kirkpatrick, Shannon Clapp, Shawn Clapp and Mitchel Fults.
