LESTER McCLELLAN RITES HELD
Services for Lester Clarence McClellan were held on Saturday, April 5, 1980, in the Cheyenne First Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with the internment at Silent Home Cemetery. Rose Chapel Funeral Services was in charge of the arrangements.
He was born on October 3, 1889, in Hiatville, Kansas and passed away at his home on Thursday, April 3, 1980, after an extended illness. Lester came with his parents to Roll from Hiatville in 1900.
On January 25, 1914, he married Ethel Aderhold in Roll, and they remained there until around 1965 when they moved to Cheyenne to make their home. He had been a member of the First Baptist Church for 70 years.
Mr. McClellan is survived by his wife, Ethel of the home, 3 sisters, Edna Clem of Canton, OK; Nell Clavnaugh of Boulder, CO; Lucille Smith of Cheyenne, 2 brothers Russell McClellan of Roll, OK and Claude McClellan of California.
Pallbearers for the service were Bud McClellan, Johnny McClellan, Roy McClellan, Jim McClellan, Frank Lucus and Glen Kendall.
