Billy Lee Trent was born February 6, 1932 in Hammon, OK to Grant and Lula (Driver) Trent. Billy attended Hammon Schools and graduated in 1950. On January 28, 1951 he married Colene Mathews in Hammon, OK. Bill and Colene moved to Clinton, OK for two years before moving to Los Angeles, CA. In 1963, after many moves back and forth to California, they decided to settle in Elk City, OK.

Bill and Colene had five children, Billy Wayne, Bobby, Michael, David and Karen. In Oklahoma and California, Bill made a living landscaping and gardening. He worked as a landscaper for 35 years, then worked for Elk City Public Schools until his retirement. Bill's interests were his wife and family, reading, traveling, and playing the drums with Gary Dean and The Western Sound. Bill's hobbies included wood working, his home, his yard, his grandkids, great grandkids, all music, current events, movies, and British TV.

Bill is survived by his wife of 66 years, Colene, of the home, sons Billy Wayne and wife, Danielle, of Perry, Oklahoma, David and wife, Becky, of Elk City, OK, Karen Trent of Weatherford, OK, daughters-in-law, Sonya McAuliffe and husband, Kevin, of Altus, OK, Sandra Trent of Sayre, OK, one sister, Joyce Tippens, Elk City, OK, 13 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Bobby and Michael, one grandson, Ben Little, and one brother-in-law, Tommy Jack Tippens.

Bill will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
