Funeral services for Hazel Rennels will be conducted on Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. from the Martin Funeral Home Chapel of Elk City with Bro. Truman Teel officiating. Internment will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City, Oklahoma.
Hazel Beatrice Rennels was born December 24, 1917 at Elk City to Claude and Mary Ellen Thompson Allison and died Friday, December 6, 2003 at the age of 85.
Hazel was raised in the Grandview community and then the family moved to the Colter Community. Where she graduated from high school at Pie Flat. She was married to A.J."Matt" Rennels on July 27, 1937 at Los Angles, California. They made their home in western Oklahoma most all their married life.
She was an active member of the Colter Church of Christ and then attended the 5th and Elk City Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband on July 5, 1996, her parents, and one brother, Clint Allison.
Survivors include two children, Pat Massey and husband, Dale of Hammon, Dick Rennels and wife, Linda of Canute, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
