Mrs. Parlee Buttry

Funeral services for Mrs. Parlee Buttry, 89-year old Hammon resident who died Monday night, August 9, 1966, were held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, August 11, in the Hammon Baptist Church.
Officiating at the services was Rev. H. P. Elliott, pastor, assisted by Rev. Jess Haney, Eakley. Burial was in the Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Buttry was born May 6, 1877 in Tennessee and was married October 4, 1893, near Sneedsville, Tennessee, to Mitchel Hanagan Buttry, who preceded her in death August 19, 1940. They came in 1910 to the Hammon area where she has lived ever since.
Surviving are two daughters, Miss Bobbie Buttry of the home; and Mrs. Jay Miller; three sons, Pleas of the home; Cal of Hammon; and Bill of Elk City; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and one grandson.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Martin Funeral Home, Elk City.
