Roswell H. "Hudy" Blount, a well known and highly respected citizen of the Spring Creek community, died at his home Wednesday morning, April 25, 1917, of pneumonia and complications, aged 30 years.
Mr. Blount was born August 24, 1886 in Copeland, Texas and moved to this country with his parents in the early days.
He was married to Miss Flossie Beal, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Beal. To this union five children were born, three boys and two girls; twin boys are three months old.
He leaves besides his wife and five small children; a widowed mother; three brothers, Clyde, Elmer and Edward; two sisters; Mrs. Forest Beal and Mrs. Kittie Hensley; all of this community except Mrs. Hensley who lives in Texas.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Bro. J. D. Gearreald, after which the body was laid to rest in Red Hill cemetery.
The Advocate joins the many friends in sympathy for the bereaved family and relatives.
