Miss Oleta Tomlinson, the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Tomlinson, passed from life, Wednesday morning, April 4, 1923 in the El Reno hospital, from blood poisning following an operation.
Oleta was born near Durham in this county and resided there until about four years ago when she moved to Weatherford, Oklahoma with her parents. She was about twewnty years of age at the time of her death.
Oleta was a lovable young woman with a charming disposition that won the friendship of all. She was a particular favorite with members of the family and her untimely demise leaves a vacancy that can never be filled. She was a student in the Teachers College at Weatherford at the time of her death and showed remarkable brilliancy as a student. She was loved by classmates and instrucors alike, who are deeply grieved by her loss. She was a member of the Christian church and possessed a true Christian spirit.
A father, mother, two sisters, a grandmother; a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins are left to mourn the loss of this loved one.
She was laid to rest in the Weatherford cemetery in the presence of a large crowd of friends and relatives. Her casket was covered with floral offerings from her many friends in that city.
Friends of the family in this county sympathize with them in their sorrow.
