Willie Estelle Bachel was born May 15, 1887 in Young County, Texas. She came to Washita county with her parents in 1896, where she lived until her marriage to Dave Pickett, December 10, 1907.

She moved with her family to Roger Mills county, January 1912, where they resided all the time except for seven years in Messills Valley, New Mexico. She joined the Catholic church at the age of elven years. She joined the Baptist church at Brazito, New Mexico, September 1927. Later she changed her membership to Bethel church at Blue Ridge. She was a faithful member. She left a beautiful testimony of the new life that was beginning for her.

She is survived by her husbands, five daughters, Mrs. Bessie Jones, Maudie, Ruby, Roberta and Jewell, one son, Neal and one grand daughter.
