It is reported that a dog killed a baby about a month old, near Durham Wednesday. The parents of the child were working in the garden near the house and had left the infant asleep on the bed. It is said the dog entered the house and dragged the child out into the field where it was found dead. Portions of the child's face and back were torn away. Mr. and Mrs. Don B. Manning, the parents of the child, have the sympanthy of the entire community.
