Funeral services for Mrs. William Cockrell were held Tuesday afternoon Feburary 15, 1944 at Durham. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery, Durham, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.

Mrs. Sallie Gartin was born March 28, 1866 in Jefferson county, Kansas and passed away at the home of her son, Dewey Cockrell in Pampa, Texas, Feburary 13, 1944. In 1888 she was married to William Cockrell and to this union six children were born. Her husband and one daughter preceded her in death. Survivors are the four sons, W.C. Cockrell and Dewey Cockrell of Pampa, Texas, D. Cockrell and Tim Cockrell of Durham, Oklahoma and one daughter, Mrs. N.W. Selby of Reydon, Oklahoma. There are 21 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren who survive.
