Born October 6, 1872 in San Augustine, Texas. Mr. Henry David Baggett died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Eula Mae Fuller, at Graham, Texas on October 14, 1959 at the age of 87 years and 8 days.
He was married to Kate Raye Prickett December 4, 1892 in San Augustine. They filed on a farm in Ellis County in 1906, and in 1909 moved to Roger Mills County, and he lived here until 1954, when he moved to Elk City.
He was a member of the Strong City Baptist Church, where he served as deacon.
Survivors include seven sons, Bonds Baggett, Andrews, Texas; James Baggett, Oklahoma City, OK; Newman, Woodward, OK; John W. Baggett, Chico, Calif.; Terrence I., Elk City; Rev. Cecil Baggett, Watonga, OK and Acie W. Chico, Calif; two daughters, Mrs. Eula Mae Fuller, Graham, Texas, and Mrs. Eula Knight, Amarillo, Texas; 36
grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Other survivors includes two sisters, Mrs. Estella Shrote, Center, Texas, and Mrs. Mary DeFee, Pineland, Texas, and one brother, W.A. Baggett, Center, Texas.
His wife and two sons preceded him in death.
Burial was in Kiowa Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under direction of Martin-Hullum Funeral Home, Elk City, OK
