CHEYENNE, Oklahoma - Vauda Marie Brown, 93, died Monday, December 2, 2002.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in Crawford Magnolia Baptist Church with the Rev. Brad Foster, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Dumas, Texas, A. L. Martin and Terry Beals, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
Burial to follow in Pie Flat cemetery.
Mrs. Brown was born May 16, 1909, in Roger Mills county.
She was a member of Crawford Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Wilburn Leon Brown of Cheyenne and Dauris Lee Brown of Perry; six grandchildren; nineteen greatgrandchildren; and eleven great- greatgrandchildren.

Vauda Marie Brown was born May 16, 1909 in Hustin Place, Roger Mills County, Pie Flat Community, Oklahoma to Clara Ann and Thomas William Barber.
She passed away December 2, 2002 at her son's home in Cheyenne, Oklahoma at the age of 93 years 6 months and 16 days.
She attended school at Pie Flat and Crawford before she was married to Carl Rosco Brown at Canadian, Texas on August 23, 1923.
They lived in Ellis county while Carl helped build SH 283 from Sayre to Arnett. After helping build the Packsaddle bridge, they moved to south Texas.
In 1938, they moved back to the Pie Flat community where they farmed and raised their children.
Carl passed away in 1970 and in 1971 she moved to the farm house in Roll. Vauda continued to live there until ill health forced her to move into Cheyenne in 1998.
She was a member of the Crawford Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one infant daughter, one infant son, daughter-in-law and one grandson.
Services will be held Thursday, December 5, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at Crawford Magnolia Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Brad Foster, Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church of Dumas, Texas and assisted by A. L. Martin and Terry Beals, Pastor of Crawford Magnolia Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Wilburn Leon and Catherine Brown of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Daruis Lee and Joanne Brown of Perry, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Patsy May Wells of Chanute, Kansas; Debra Marie Brown-Tweed of Borger, Texas; Pamela Denise Foster of Dumas, Texas; Penny Renee Murrow of Perry, Oklahoma; Paul David Brown of Dallas, Texas; Perry Shawn Brown of Greenwood, South Carolina; nineteen great grandchildren; eleven great great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
