Ernest L. Purcell, 79, of Glenrose, Texas, succumbed Saturday in a Glenrose Hospital.
Mr. Purcell was born in Collin County, Texas, in 1894, moving to Rankin, Oklahoma with his parents the late Charles and Adell Purcell and family in 1902 where he grew to manhood, later moving to California.
He spent most of his adult life in California.
At the death of his wife Helen, four years ago he moved to Glenrose, Texas.
Graveside services were held May 28, 1974 at Waco Memorial Park in Waco, Texas.
He is survived by two sisters of Waco, Mrs. J. E. Andre and Miss Don Purcell; other relatives include Mrs. Bert Purcell of Elk City, Oklahoma; Mrs. Homer Purcell of Stockton, California; one sister-in-law and several nieces, nephews and friends.
