Edna L. York Hicks passed away March 31, 23009 in Lodi, California at the age of 89.

Born in Oklahoma, Edna has lived the past ten years in Lodi, and lived previously for many years in Hayward.

Edna was the consummate homemaker, often putting the needs of her family above her own, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her beloved daughter Willa Paul and her husband Dallas of Lodi; grandsons, Curt Paul and wife Sharon of Stockton, California; Mike Paul and wife Sheryl of Clovis, California; great grandchildren, Jennifer, Lauren, Curtis, Jr., Austin, Noah and Jason; brothers, Wesley York of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Donnie York of Durham, Oklahoma; Carol York of Hayward, California; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Her beloved husband, James Hicks preceded her in death, along with brothers Phil Douglas York and Oran York; and sisters, Othella Selby, Doris Hatley and Mildred Shipp.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi, California.
