News of the death of C. E. Copeland at Drumright reached this city last Saturday and was received with much regret.

Mr. Copeland together with his family has resided in this county for a number of years. He has suffered much during that time and friends and loved ones have expected the end to come many times but it was unexpected at this particular time.

A short time ago he left this community for Drumright where he intended to make his home with his son, Bud. He appeared much improved in health.

The evening before his death he appeared better and joined the family in singing favorite songs, and ate heartily of the evening meal.

About 1 o'clock he awoke struggling for breath and within a few minutes had passed out from life.

Friends in this community regret very much to learn of his demise, and are joined by the Star in expressing sympathy.
