Aaron Franklin Calaway

Aaron Franklin Calaway, son of James Daniel and Chloe Lucille Calaway, was born in Goldthwaite, Texas, on January 1, 1938. He passed away at Oklahoma Memorial Hospital, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on October 9, 1987, at the age of forty nine years.

He began his school years in the schools of Goldthwaite, Texas and continued his studies in the Tribune, Kansas High School System.

Aaron Franklin entered military service in 1957, serving three years with the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

On May 23, 1962, he was united in marriage to Linda Darlene Clark of Perryton, Texas. One son, Clark Aaron and three daughters, Vana Dee, Jada Lin and Jara Lei were born to this union.

The family made their home in Perryton, Texas, until moving to Leedey in 1977 where they have lived these past ten years.

Mr. Calaway's chosen occupation was in the field of Oil Production, working as an Oil Well Driller. His most recent location being in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

His special hobbies were fishing and watching football games; these sports he truly enjoyed.

Aaron Franklin Calaway was preceded in death by his father, James Daniel Calaway; and his beloved wife, Linda Darlene Calaway.

He is survived by his three daughters, Vana Dee Calaway Moore, Jada Lin and Jara Lea Calaway; and one son, Clark Aaron Calaway, all of Leedey; his mother, Lucille Calaway Cross of Ontario, Oregon; one grandchild and two brothers, Jake Calaway and Jim Calaway, both of Houston, Texas; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, October 13, 1987, at the Ochiltree Cemetery, Perryton, Texas. Arrangements by Shaw Funeral Home, Leedey, Oklahoma.
