Funeral services for Martha Sidney Wills, 89, of Chickasha, will be held Friday, December 17, 2004, at 2:00 p.m., in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John P. Miles officiating.
Martha Sidney Blankenbeckler Wills was born October 14, 1915, in Choptack, Tennessee, the daughter of Henry Blankenbeckler and Minnie Greene Blankenbeckler. She died Tuesday, December 14, 2004, in Chickasha.
Martha grew up in Hawkins County Tennessee. At age 12 she and her family came by train to Oklahoma. They made homestead in Hammon, Oklahoma, where they operated the family farm.
On July 29, 1933, Martha married Charlie Nelson Wills, Jr. in Hammon, Oklahoma. They were married for 59 wonderful years. They had three beautiful daughters together. They lived extensively throughout Oklahoma, following her husband's occupation. In 1978, Martha and Charlie retired in Chickasha.
Martha was a loving homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
She was loved and will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie, on June 24, 1992, both parents, six brothers: George, Hugh, Willie, Nicholas, Henry and Otis Blankenbeckler.
She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law: Joy Ann and Warren Miles, of Oberflockenbach, Germany, Betty Lou Wills and Gerald A. Ibsen, of Chickasha, Charla Nell Wills, of Anadarko, Oklahoma; two sisters: Della Phillips, and Esper Drennon; four grandsons: James Michael Pratt, of Winnweiler, Germany, Jeffrey Nelson Pratt, of Evergreen, Colorado, Charlie Roy Largent and Donald Ray Largent, Jr., of Chickasha; one great grandson, Danien Gabriel Pratt, of Winnweller, Germany, and many nephews and nieces.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
Interment will be int he Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
