Rome, OK (Roger Mills County), Apr.15. While J. A. Fifer, a farmer near here was plowing in a field recently he uncovered a stone which had an inscription announcing that beneath it was the body of A____ Mackey, killed by Indians Feb. 12, 1874. Mr. Fifer dug beneath the stone and found the skeleton of a man which he placed in a wagon box and reburied.
