Lottie Staton

John F. Staton married C. Belle Newby. They came to Oklahoma Territory where they filed for homestead 26 May 1901 in Section 27, Twp 13N, Range 22 WIM.
They were the parents of Roy, Claude, Bill, Rosco, Lottie, and Mable (there may have been others). Lottie died of typhoid and was interred in Kiowa Cemetery. The Stations returned to Texas settling near Mobeetie. Rosco Staton had married Bertie Snowden and mable who married Roy Jones remained in Oklahoma. Rosco Staton adn brother-in-law Roy Jones ran wagon yard and post office at Sedalia (school district #69) Roy and Mable Jones' son Alan Jones still resides in the area.
