Mrs. Etta Lacey Services Held Wednesday First Baptist Church
Services for Mrs. Etta Lacey were held from the First Baptist Church, Hammon at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday June 20. Burial was in the Kiowa Cemetery. Reverend O. T. Perkins was the officiating minister.
Emily Henrietta (Etta) Lacey was born 9 July 1902 in Esteline, Texas to Moses Lemuel and Sarah Ellen Wright. She departed this life on June 15 in California.
She grew to young womanhood in Kiowa Community. She was converted and baptized into the Baptist Church at the age of 17.
She was united in marriage to Fred B. Lacey in 1929, and to this union were born five children, Fred Lacey, Olivehurst, California; Mrs. Marietta Cash, Bakersfield, California; James Ray, Muskogee, Oklahoma; Mrs. Phyllis Faye Durrett, Proter, Okla. and Richard J. Lacey, Wichita, Kansas.
Mrs. Lacey was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Wright, a brother, David Lee and two sisters, Lela May and Mrs. Hattie Alverda Wood.
She is survived by three brothers; O. M. Wright, Lemon Grove, California, E. W. Wright, Grandview, Texas and T. E. Wright, Midway, Arkansas; also three sisters; Mrs. R. J. Allen, Muskogee, Oklahoma, Mrs. Walker Ackley, Yuba City, California, and Mrs. Emory Ackley, Hammon, Oklahoma and other relatives and friends.
Services were under the direction of Martin Funeral Home Elk City, Oklahoma.
