Born June 9, 1890, in Hamilton County, Texas, he was married December 25, 1913 to Carrie M. Owens at Hollis. He came to Roger Mills County in 1923 from Beaver county and had resided there since. He was a life time member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie, of the home; two daughters Mrs. Cleta G. Estes, Oklahoma City, Mrs. Winona Fae Thomas, Durham; two sisters Mrs. Bertha Owen, Hollis, Mrs. Ozella Hundley, Portland, Oregon, Henry Wilson, Hollis; six grandchildren, one foster granddaughter, 15 great grandchildren.
