Louise Walker was born August 22, 1936 in Grimes, Oklahoma to Freeda Mae and Elmo Wade Kirk. She passed away June 23, 2009 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years, 10 months and 1 day. Louise grew up in Grimes community and graduated from Berlin High School in 1954. She was married to Bud Walker at Cheyenne, Oklahoma on September 14, 1956. They lived in the Dempsey community where they farmed until their retirement and they moved to Elk City, Oklahoma to make their home. Louise loved farm life, cooking for her family and taking care of her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Gordon, Rod and Jerry, 2 grandchildren, 2 nephews, 2 infant nieces and 1 infant nephew.
She is survived by her Husband, Bud, 1 Daughter, Shirley Walker, Altus, Oklahoma; 1 Son and Daughter-in-law, John and Martha Walker, Dempsey, Oklahoma; 4 Sister, Diana Conway, Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Sharon and Dickie Tignor, Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Betty and Richard Keahey, Roll, Oklahoma; Margie and John Anderson, Sweetwater, Oklahoma; 4 Brothers, George Kirk, Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Wallice and Glenda Kirk, Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Wade and Nelda Kirk, McLean, Texas; Kenneth and Linda Kirk, Roll, Oklahoma; 2 Sisters-in-law, Ella Pearl Kirk, Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Lesa Kirk, Sayre, Oklahoma; 6 Grandchildren, Kayla, Kelci, Kandice, Kourtney, Samuel and Jonathan, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside Services were held Thursday, June 25, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Dempsey Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service. Condolences can be made online at www.whineryfs.com
