Lee Aulbert, Sayre, died May 9, 1968 in the Cheyenne Convalescent hospital following an extended illness. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 11, 1968 at 2 p.m., in the Grimes community building with Rev. Lynn Heard officiating. Born May 5, 1877 in Chateau County, Tenn. Mr. Aulbert married Mollie Willow Gamble in Louisville, Texas, on November 16, 1898. They came to the Sayre community in 1901 from Denton County, Texas. He was a retired farmer. Survivors are his wife, Mollie, of the Cheyenne Convalescent hospital; one daughter, Leahrene Burckhalter, Sweetwater; two sons, W. L. of Vinita and C.H. of Reno, Nevada; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Pall bearers were: Harvey Bartz, Cecil Flemmings, Pud Brown, Earl Tucker, Dave Cooprider, and Babe Frankford. Interment was in the Dempsey cemetery, Dempsey, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Scroggins and Son Funeral Home of Cheyenne.
