Services will be held for Eula Massey Phelps Bain Wednesday, October 26, 1988 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sayre Church of Christ with Eddie Beard of Mangum, officiating.
Interment will be at the Dempsey Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel of Sayre.
Eula Massey Bain was born February 16, 1903 near Frederick in Indian Territory.
She died at St. Luke's Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa, October 10, 1988.
She was born to Jasper J. Massey Bain and Terry Phelps and grew up at Hess, Oklahoma and attended schools at Meridian, Oklahoma.
On June 7, 1924, she married William C. Bain in Enid and made her home with Bill and his children from a previous marriage.
Eula was a member of the Roger Mills County Extension Club, the Grimes Quilting Bee and numerous other Grimes community activities.
She was a member of the Sayre Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, four sisters, and fourteen grandchildren.
She is survived by five daughters, Hazel Allene Hamilton of Wichita, Kansas; Juanita Marie Wolff of Sioux City, Iowa; Opal Laura Fuchs of Macomb, Oklahoma; Crystal Faye Pallo of Phoenix, Arizona and Wilda Evelyn Jensen of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.
She is also survived by five sons, William C. Bain, Jr., of Sayre, Oklahoma; Carl Leon Bain of Dumas, Texas; Clarence Clifton Bain of Pheonix, Arizona; Billy Wayne Bain of Cheney, Kansas; and Dow Conrad Bain of Prescott, Arizona.
She is also survived by one sister, Dorcas Kelly of Decatur, Alabama.
She is also survived by 50 grandchildren, 98 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
