Funeral services were conducted Tuesday January 16, 1962 for R. C. Walker who resided in this county for a number of years. Rev. Laddie Adams and Kent Ellishad charge of the services in the Baptist church. Burial was in the Cheyenne cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under direction of Scroggins and Son.
He leaves five daughters, Mrs. Estelle Hoagland of the home, Mrs. Mabel Pierson Harris of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Mrs. Nettie Mae Clem of Altez, Thomas Walker, Craig, Colorado; Robert O. Walker, San Gabriel, California and Leon P. Walker of 2707 South 39th, Kansas City, Kansas; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Allen and Mrs. Ocie Workman both of Stroud, Oklahoma; two brothers, Morgan Walker, Locust Grove, Oklahoma and Arden Walker of Flagstaff, Arizona, 25 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
