Robert Eugene Barton was born November 20, 1934 in Durham, Oklahoma to Veta Pearl and Fred Robert Barton. He passed away November 10, 2008 at Clinton, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years 11 months and 20 days. He was a Surveyor. He was a Sgt. in the U.S. Marine Corp and a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Reydon Community Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, Robert Eugene Barton, II and 1 infant daughter, Eugenia Renee Barton.
Survived by 1 Son, David Barton and wife, Verla, Reydon, OK; 1 Daughter-in-law, Lisa Barton, Cheyenne, Oklahoma; 1 Sister, Yonzell Vogt, Weatherford, Oklahoma; 3 Brothers, Ray Barton and wife, Georgetta, McAlester, OK, and Jack Barton and wife, Joanne, Clarendon, TX, and Jim R. Barton and wife, Alice, Arapaho, Oklahoma; 7 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchilddren, Special friend, Sam Hardy, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were held November 13, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Cheyenne First Baptist Church, interment in Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Oklahoma under the direction of Cheyenne Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
