Rita Carol Smith Richardson, 80 of Perryton, TX, passed away
December 23, 2020, in Amarillo, TX.
She was born in Wheeler, TX, on
December 16, 1940, to Robert and Hazel (Sewell) Smith.
Rita married Clois Richardson April 29, 1991. They made their home
and lots of great memories outside of Elk City, OK.
Rita worked at the Shamrock ISD and was a caregiver.
She
enjoyed quilting, working puzzles, playing dominoes and being around
her kids and grandkids.
Rita is survived by 1 daughter: Janice Moss of Perryton, TX; 6 sons:
Scott and wife Angie Gollihare of Georgetown, TX, Gary and wife
Tonya Richardson of Perryton, TX, Bob and wife Beverly Richardson of
Albuquerque, NM, Don and wife Diana Richardson of Bella Vista, AR,
James and wife Jeannie Richardson of Pennsylvania, Mike and wife
Rena Gay Richardson of Spearman, TX; 2 sister in laws: Patti Smith
of Pampa TX, and Faye Smith; grandson: John and wife Ashley
Richardson (caregiver) of Perryton, TX, along with their children:
Dakota, Dalton, and Chloe Richardson. Surviving Rita are numerous
other grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as other
relatives and close friends.
Rita is preceded in death by her parents, husband: Clois Richardson,
2 brothers: R.V. Smith and James Smith; 1 sister: Altha Mae Wright;
1 infant daughter: Carolyn Gollihare, and 1 granddaughter: Kimberly
Richardson.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 2, 2020,
at Rose Chapel, Sayre with Pastor Greg Newton officiating.
Interment
will follow at Berlin Cemetery.
Visitation will be held day of
service.
