John Edward Nemsgern

John Edward Nemsgern, 72, a merchant of Foss, died at the home address of a heart attack Sunday, May 14, 1944.
Born January 5, 1872 in Springfield, Ohio, he was married on August 22, 1892 at Salina, Kansas to Mary Musefelt who survives him.
They moved to this area in 1904 settling near Berlin.
He was a member of the Methodist church.
Other survivors include his sons, Nicholas of Foss and daughter-in-law Grace, with whom he made his home; Fred of Culver City, California; Henry of Souix Falls, South Dakota; daughters, Mrs. Nellie Watts, Ft. Worth, Texas; Mrs. Edith Wilson, Wichita, Kansas; his brother, N. S. Nemsgern, Pottersville, Missouri; sisters, Mrs. Emma Wilson, Pottersville, Missouri; Mrs. Lena Musefelt, Elk City, Oklahoma; fourteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 1944 from the Chapel of the Savage Funeral Home, with interment in Berlin cemetery, Berlin, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
Reverend George Parkhurst, pastor of the Methodist church of Elk City, officiating.
