Edd Sherman Langley was born June 30, 1933, in Rattan, Oklahoma, to William S. and Myrtle Odessa (Stogstill) Langley.

He passed from this life January 29, 2014, in Hugo, OK, at the age of 80.

Sherman married Loretta Maxine Adams on October 11, 1956 in Oklahoma City, OK. Edd had lived in this area for the past 34 years and was of the Baptist Faith. He served his country in the United States Army and was a former Mason. Edd enjoyed woodworking, watching wildlife and gardening.

Sherman was preceded in death by his parents; Bill & Myrtle Langley; brothers: Ben Langley and Fred Langley and Chester Langley; sister: Violet Parsons.

He is survived by wife: Loretta M. Langley of the home; sons: Robert "Bob" Langley and wife Jeanne of The Woodlands, TX, Eddie Langley of Muskogee, OK and Joe Langley and wife Patti of Hinton, OK; brother: Hollis D. and wife Jean Langley of McCloud, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Christina Langley-White, Sarah Langley, Katherine Langley, Brian Langley and Mary Jo Langley; great grandchildren: Caleb, Emma, Trevor and Elizabeth; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014 ~ West Side Baptist Church, Antlers, Oklahoma Officiating: Pastor Larry Crawford Music: "Go Rest High On That Mountain" Pallbearers: Joe Griffith ~ Alton James ~ Brian Langley ~ Morgan Hopson ~ Frederick Langley - Adam Holcomb
