Bobby Joe Courtwright, 72, passed from this life February 12, 2018 in Paris, Texas. Bobby was born October 10, 1945 to Phillip and Nellie (Wall) Courtwright in the rural area of Oleta, Oklahoma.

Bobby married Nina Francis Courtwright May 8, 1964 in Hugo, Oklahoma. He had lived in the Oleta area his whole life. Bobby worked as a supervisor at the rock quarry plant and was a mason for many years. Bobby enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, canning and mowing the yard; but most of all, he loved to spend time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Phillip and Nellie Courtwright and his brother: James Courtwright.

Bobby is survived by his wife: Nina Courtwright of the home in Rattan, Oklahoma; his children: Angela Hemingway and husband Marshall of Rattan, Oklahoma, Bradley Courtwright and wife Anne of Antlers, Oklahoma, Todd Courtwright and wife Brandie of Shallowater, Texas; brother: Johnny Courtwright and wife Arvella of Rattan, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Tyler Courtwright and wife Jamie, Taylor Courtwright, Cassidy Courtwright- Jones and husband Jordan, Hannah Courtwright, Macy Courtwright, Bradyn Courtwright, Abby Courtwright, Jake Courtwright, Clay Courtwright, Steven Hemingway and wife Hannah, Justin Hemingway and wife Kathryn, Tori Hemingway, and Cheyenne Montgomery; great grandchildren: Paiton Shultz, Braylee Courtwright, Bentley Courtwright, Rayli Young, Grady Jones, Aubree Courtwright, Everly Hemingway and Emily Hemingway; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday February 16, 2018 at the Rattan First Baptist Church with Johnny Ray Corgill officiating.

Burial will follow at Rattan Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dewayne Courtwright, Mike Courtwright, Monty Taylor, Marshall Hemingway, Stormy Taylor, Will Lewis and Trent Hilburn. Honorary pallbearers will include his grandsons: Taylor, Tyler, Jake, Clay and Bradyn.

Family night will be 6-8 PM Thursday February 15, 2018 at the Rattan First Baptist Church.

Funeral services are entrusted with Serenity Funeral Service in Antlers, Oklahoma.
