Roy Eugene Clagg went to be with the Lord Monday, February 13, 2017 in Antlers, Oklahoma, at the age of 88. Roy "Slim" was born January 29, 1929 to Andrew and Ida (Southard) Clagg in Stratford, Oklahoma.

A cowboy at heart, he loved horses and riding horses and worked on ranches until he opened Clagg & Son Construction which he owned and operated until his retirement. He loved playing dominoes, was always ready for someone to challenge him. He also loved to talk and joke and never met a stranger.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Ida Clagg; three brothers; one sister; two sons, Jimmy Clagg and David Clagg; and one grandson.

He leaves behind a loving family that includes his friend and companion Nancy Hammond; son Ken Clagg and wife Kathy of Finley, Oklahoma; daughter Connie Scarberry and husband Leroy of Antlers, Oklahoma; two brothers, Don Clagg and Marion Clagg and wife Reba; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well as many other relatives and a host of friends. 

Pallbearers will include Josue Rodriquez, Nathanyel Rodriquez, Jerry Anthony Clagg, Kenneth Andrew Clagg, Jerry Lee Clagg, and Sonny Luman.

Honorary pallbearers will include Isaac Clagg, Daryl Tivis, Kenneth Tivis, and Jerry Strickland. 

Services will be held Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fresh Beginnings Church in Finley with Joyce Luman officiating.

Interment will follow at Finley Cemetery under the direction of Burkhart Funeral Service of Antlers.
