Born on September 17, 1928, in Leflore to George and Jody (Barnes) Burnett, Youil was a pillar of strength, love, and kindness in her community and family.

Youil was a dedicated food nutritionist at Pittsburg Public School, where she nurtured not only the bodies of the children, she served but also their spirits. Her friendly demeanor and loving nature made her a favorite among students and staff alike.

Family was the center of Youil's world.

She is survived by her sons, Leon Labor, John Labor and wife, Linda, Roy Labor and wife, Nancy, and George Labor and wife, Kim; her daughter, Joetta McIntyre and husband, Tim; her grandchildren, Wade, Gary, Russell, Susan, Robyn, Wendy, Sherry, Justin, Keitha, Becky, Buck, Bradley, Garret, and Madison; 39 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; her brother-in-law, Jimmy Labor and wife, Shirley; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. Youil's home was always filled with laughter, love, and the delicious aroma of her home-cooked meals.

Youil is preceded in death by her husband, Loyce “Peachie” Henry Labor; her parents, George Burnett and Jody (Barnes) Burnett; her son, Floyd Labor; grandsons, Kenneth, Jerry, John, and Chris; great-grandson, Sayven Rowland; her twin, Jewel Burnett; and brothers and sisters, John Burnett, Aldie Burnett, D.C. Barnett, Grace Burns, Lucille Jack, Lavene Labor, Dean Francis, and Jonell Tucker. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and their memories will continue to live on through the stories and traditions she shared.

Youil was a woman of many virtues, but her loving and friendly nature stood out the most. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome and loved. Her radiant smile and warm heart were infectious, spreading joy wherever she went. She was a friend to many and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate her life, remembering the love, laughter, and lessons she shared with us all. Rest in peace, Youil Dean Labor, you will forever be in our hearts.
