Jerry Dewayne Shockey of Antlers, Oklahoma passed from this life Friday, December 23rd, 2016 at his home at the age of 63.

Dewayne was born July 27th, 1953 in Tulsa to Donald Wayne and Frankie (Meyers) Shockey, but was raised by his grandparents; Willis and Etta Mae Shockey from the time he was three weeks old. He married Rita Lynne Smith on March 22, 1975 in Rattan, and he retired from Weyerhauser after 32 years. Dewayne was a very devoted family man who you could always find at his children's and grandchildren's games. He also loved watching OU football, was a huge Texas Rangers fan and enjoyed working around his place. Dewayne was the type of man who never met a stranger, he could start up a conversation with anyone and once you met him you would never forget him.

Dewayne is preceded in death by his grandparents Willis & Etta Mae Shockey, brother; Donnie Shockey and sister; Donna Sue Bryant as well as his parents; Donald & Frankie Shockey.

He leaves behind a loving family that includes his wife Rita of the home, children; Chay & Ariel Shockey of Antlers and Clacy & Adrienne Shockey of Collinsville, grandchildren; Keller and Kam Shockey both of Antlers and Landrey Shockey of Collinsville, a special aunt; Neva Gambetta and a sister; Vickie Jones of Sapulpa as well as numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

Pallbearers for the service include: Jamie Underwood, Myrl Redman, Micheal Riser, Seth Wood, Bradley Mills, Allen Clay, Randell Clay, Adam Green and Cliffton Miller.

Honorary pallbearers include: Larry Boyett, Robert Songer, Mike Wood, Carl Hatcher, Calvin Slabaugh, Ray Branch, Chris Gibbs, Paul Watts, Chris Brown, Robbie Baze, Sterling Parsons, Mike Moon, Sylvester Holiman and Jerry Newell.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to a memorial fund established at Ameristate Bank to be used to help with getting a new gym at Rattan School.

Service will be held 2p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Rattan Baptist Church with Shawn Robertson and Kent Jensen officiating. Interment will Follow at the Dela Cemetery under the direction of Burkhart Funeral Service of Antlers.
