Funeral services for Clifford Don Throne will be held on Friday, November 13, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kent Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Savage and Rev. Skip Perkins officiating with burial following in Antlers City Cemetery in Antlers, Oklahoma.
 
Clifford passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 in Hugo, OK at the age of 61. Clifford Don Throne was born June 28, 1948 in Springfield, Colorado the son of Leonard Clifford and Wretha Faye (Underwood) Throne. He married Rose Mary Popwell on March 30, 1973 in Wellington, TX. He had lived this area for the past five years after moving here from Wellington, TX. He had been self-employed as a carpenter in construction for more than thirty-five years in Wellington, TX. After moving to this area, he worked as the Maintenance Director at Choctaw Memorial Hospital. He loved going camping, going to auction and farm sales, and spending time with family, especially his grandson: Logan. He enjoyed cooking out and was a master at grilling BBQ.

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, one sister: Faye Bell, one nephew: Randy Bell, and one niece: Debbie Sanderson.

Surviving relatives include his wife: Rose Mary of the home; one daughter: Stormy Throne of Sawyer, OK and her fiance Billy Stanley; one grandson: Logan Brock VanWorth of Sawyer, OK; a special nephew: Jeff Thomas of Wellington, TX; two great nephews(are like grandsons): Jordan & Sedrick Thomas of Childress, TX; one daughter: Sherry McIntyre of Wichita, KS and her two children: Chris and Seth; one brother: David “Bunny” Throne of Childress, TX; two sisters: Nadine Bell of Soper, OK and Jodi Ray of Childress, TX; a host of nieces, nephews, and good friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday, November 12, 2009 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel.
