Glenna (Gibson) Allen

Glenna Allen was born May 5, 1921 in Allen, Oklahoma to Fred and Edith (Lewis) Gibson. She passed from this life August 28, 2010 in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 89. 

Glenna lived in this area for 50 years after marrying William E. Allen on October 17, 1942 in Norman, Oklahoma. Together they raised three children. She enjoyed fishing, reading Louis LaMour books, and spending time with her family and friends. 

Glenna was preceded in death by her parents: Fred and Edith Gibson; and a sister: Freda Gillen. 

She is survived by her husband of 68 years: William E. Allen of Antlers, Oklahoma; three sons: Bill Allen & wife Sue of Denton, Texas, John Allen & wife Gee Gee of Dallas, Texas, Richard Allen of California; five grandchildren: Ed Allen & wife Kerry, Greg Allen & wife Angel, Jennie Dodd & husband Jeremy, Kristie Berryman & husband Jeff, Katie Ramirez & husband Harley; 15 great grandchildren: Kelsey, Tanner, Will, Tucker, Kylie, Katelyn, Tate, Bronson, Stockton, Riley, Aurora, Jackson, Lucy, Noah, Jake; a brother: Mike Gibson & wife Gail of Bakersfield, California; two sisters: Jan McCoy & husband Burl of Merkel, Texas and Doris & husband Al Morris of Richmond, Kentucky; as well as many other relatives and friends. 

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM ~ Friday, September 3, 2010 ~ Church of Christ 
Officiating: Eddie Allen 
Music: Congregation Music ~ Led by Burl McCoy 
Interment: Antlers City Cemetery ~ Antlers, Oklahoma
