Etta Evelyn (Gilmore) (Lee) Harmon

Etta Evelyn Harmon passed away September 9th, 2018 at the age of 93. 

Etta will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Patty Cook; Granddaughter, Lorie Barton (Ozzie) ; Great Grandsons, Ryan (Lauren) and Dylan Higginbotham and Great Great Granddaughter, Stella Higginbotham.
 

Etta was born February 15th, 1925 in Hooker, Oklahoma to Jacob Elmer Gillmore and Verdia Ellena Mae Weaver.  She is survived by her twin brother, Edgar E Gillmore of Oklahoma City and Roy Lee Gillmore of Porter, Texas and many nieces, nephews and cousins throughout the USA.
 

After graduating high school at Carnegie, Oklahoma she moved to Oklahoma City and went to business college.  While there she married in 1945 to Robert Burns Lee (Air Force Tail Gunner who flew 50 missions over Germany) and moved to Ft. Walton Beach, Florida where their daughter, Patty was born at Eglin Air Force Base. After her divorce she moved to Oklahoma City.  In 1950 she married Julius Fred Harmon, (Air Force Tail Gunner) in New Braunsfels, Texas. The family lived on Kelly Air Force Base and Malstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls, Montana before making Oklahoma City her final home.
 

She worked for Magabar/Dresser/Dresser-Atlas/Halliburton until her retirement.  She moved to the Rio Grande Valley in 2009 to be near her daughter.  Her final two years she was a resident of the Alfredo Gonzalez Texas State Veterans Home.
 

Her ashes will be buried at her Grandaughter, Kimberly Cooks, grave in Albion, Oklahoma.
