Roger Leo Bentley was born 14 November 1940 near Antlers, Oklahoma to Rodger W. and Dixie (Corbin) Bentley. Shortly afterward he family moved to the Albion area.
After graduating from Albion High School, Roger joined the U. S. Navy. He was an Aviation Support Equipment Technician. In 1961 he married Emily Aline Stevens; they had five children over the years and he retired from the Navy as a Chief Petty Officer. His service benefited the military through his dedication, knowledge and suggestions that resulted in greater safety for his follow sailors.

After retirement Roger worked as a truck driver and mechanic with his own shop. Even after he quit driving a truck he racked up many a mile chasing parts. Roger was a gifted man who was sought out by many to "pick his brain". His knowledge and know-how will be greatly missed.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Rodger William Bentley and Dix Pearl Corbin Bentley, his wife Emily Aline Bentley, and two sisters: Willie Wanda Stevens and Betty Lou Nunley.

He is survived by his daughter, Victoria Camp, son Robert and Melissa Bentley, daughter, Lisa Dighton, son Richard and Belinda Bentley, and son Russell Bentley, two sisters; Jane McIntrye and Mary Duncan, 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and some on the way.
Roger will be missed by in-laws and outlaws alike, as well as his many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services will be held Monday, November 14, 2015, 2 p.m. at the Albion Cemetery.

Interment will follow under the direction of Burkhart Funeral Service of Talihina.
