HENRY JOHN MULDER

January 15, 1937 - November 4, 2017

Henry John Mulder, age 80 of Asher, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017. Henry was born January 15, 1937 in Kingfisher, OK, the 2nd of 4 children born to John Calvin and Cora (Eaton) Mulder. He was raised in the Etowah Community, and attended both Etowah and Noble Schools. Henry married his best friend and the love of his life, Dorothy Marie Smalling, on July 12, 1957 in Norman. They made their home in the Slaughterville Community, where together they raised 4 children, sons, Bret, Benny and Lenny and daughter, Tammy. Henry worked as a plumber for the University of Oklahoma, retiring after 31 years of dedicated service. During this time, Henry also served his community as a firefighter for the Slaughterville Volunteer Fire Department for 20 years. Henry enjoyed his work, but his heart was always in the country and the ranch. He enjoyed tending to his cattle, loved anything and everything to do with horses, and enjoyed attending auctions. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Henry was a family man first! He cherished Dorothy, his children and especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a man of strong faith and a good friend to many. He will be dearly missed!

He was preceded in death by: His parents, John Calvin and Cora Mulder; Sister, Evelyn Ann Mulder and Brother, James Calvin Mulder.

Henry leaves behind: His wife, Dorothy of the home; 3 sons, Bret Lynn Mulder and wife Ninya of Sulphur, Benny Lee Mulder and wife Nancy of Wanette and Lenny Brian Mulder and wife Johnnie of Noble; Daughter, Tammy Colleen Cooper and husband Shawn of Shawnee; Sister, Rowena Ruth Roach and husband Jim of Woodward; Sister-in-law, Judy Mulder of Homosassa, FL; 9 grandchildren, Luke, Levi, B.J., Crystal, Skyler, Sarah, Joshua, Sandy and Kelsey; 10 great grandchildren, Jordan, Mikayla, Kylie, Ivy, Noah, Arley, Gracie, Madalyn, Jeremiah and Kaylee And a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at the Asher First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Wanette Cemetery.
