DEWAYNE DIXSON
1963 - 2016


Dewayne Dixson of Asher was born July 2, 1963, in Ada to Jerry Wayne and Shirley Jeanette (Farris) Dixson. He passed away on the family farm Nov. 25, 2016, at the age of 53 years, 4 months and 23 days.
He grew up in Asher and was an outstanding athlete in basketball and baseball. He graduated from Asher High School in 1981.
He was a farmer and rancher and loved the outdoors.
Dewayne was preceded in death by father, Jerry Dixson, paternal grandfather, E. W. Dixson and maternal grandparents Red and Lucille Farris.
Survivors include two sons, Keevin Dixson of Asher and Derrick Dixson of Tecumseh; two daughters, Shelby Dixson of Asher and Kaythryn Dixson of Asher; longtime companion, Dusty Jackson of Asher; mother, Shirley Dixson of Asher; nephew, Dalton Dixson of Oklahoma City; uncle, Keith Farris and wife Jackie Galey of Oklahoma and many cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Wayne Bottom, Billy Fowler, Joe Magby, Wyman Nail, Johnny "Goober" Jones, Bill Frankovich, David Richards and Bryan Richands.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 1, at First Baptist Church in Asher with Rev. Scott Hamilton officiating.
Burial will be at Vista Cemetery in Asher.
