Nettie Goss Yancy, 92, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019 in Midwest City. She was born January 31, 1927 in Wanette, Oklahoma to William Preston Drain and Pluma (Northcross) Walter.

Nettie was raised in St. Louis, Oklahoma and attended St. Louis Public Schools. She graduated from St. Louis High School in 1946.

She married Richard M. Yancy on July 3, 1972 in Oklahoma City and he preceded her in death on August 9, 1996.

Nettie worked in banking as a Teller and Office Manager until her retirement in 1969. She later worked as a poodle groomer for 10 years in Oklahoma City.

She was a member of Bethany First Baptist in Oklahoma City for many years. She loved to paint and travel all over the United States.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard M. Yancy; son, Randy Goss; her parents; and 6 siblings.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Janis and Jimmy Thompson of Georgetown, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Sharon Goss of Harrah, OK; 6 grandchildren, Kelli Smith, Lisha Vogler and husband Chris, Valerie Craig and husband Matt, William Goss and partner, Erik Kendall, Kara Plymale and Chad Breske; 5 great-grandchildren, David Smith, Andrew Craig, Park Vogler, Case Vogler and Kannyn Vogler; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Cooper Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Tecumseh Cemetery with Pastor Keith Ward, Taproot Church in Shawnee officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
