ALICE M. PERRY

November 13, 1916 - May 07, 2018

Longtime Tecumseh resident, Alice M. Perry, age 101, passed away Monday, May 7, 2018 at her home in Tecumseh.

Alice was born November 13, 1916 in McLoud to Arthur E. and Katie (Senkowski) Rogers. She was reared in McLoud, graduated from McLoud High School and attended Katherine Gibbs Business School in Oklahoma City. Alice has lived in Tecumseh since 1939 and on January 14, 1940, she married James T. Perry in Lincoln County.

After being a Homemaker and raising her son, Alice taught herself to be a Legal Secretary. She worked for most of the legal offices in Shawnee and she became well known for her ability to provide an “on call” legal secretarial service.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Perry; and nephew, Jeff Perry.

Alice is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James Thomas Perry, Jr. and Marianne of Santa Rose Beach, FL; niece, Ronnye Perry Sharp of Tecumseh; her caregivers; and many other friends. Service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Stephanie Stephens of Broadway United Methodist Church, Tecumseh officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

In lieu of flowers the family has designated The Bright Focus Foundation, Alzheimer’s Disease Research Division, 22512 Gateway Center Dr., Clarksburg, MD 20871 as appropriate for memorials.
