Eldon "Dick" Napier, 86, resident of Tecumseh passed from this life, Friday, February 9, 2018 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma.

He was born May 8, 1931 to Henry Elmer and Lillian Bell (Nix) Napier in Macomb, Oklahoma.

Dick was raised in Macomb and graduated from Macomb High School class of 1950.

He served in the Navy from 1951 to 1953. Upon returning home, he married the love of his life, Betty (Sparks) on December 11, 1953.

Dick and Betty moved to Tecumseh where they have made their home for the past 64 years.

Dick worked for 40 years at Modern Oil Company as a truck driver, hauling propane and gasoline. He also was an Insurance agent for Oklahoma Farmers Union for 37 years.

Dick and Betty were members of First Baptist Church in Tecumseh, and he was a 32nd degree Mason.

He loved to travel in the RV and liked to go to Branson, especially enjoying country and gospel music.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Kent Napier; brother, Ray Napier; and sister, Loyce Callihan.

He is survived by his wife, Betty of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Althea Napier of Tecumseh, daughter and son-in law, LaDona Jill and Darrel Grizzle, of Tecumseh; grandchildren, Garrett & Rebekah Napier, Cody & Debbie Napier, Joshua & Carina Napier; Amanda Grizzle and Sylvia Clarkson; 9 great-grandchildren;brother and sister-in-law, Rex & Ruby Napier of Minnesota; niece & husband, Tara & Eric Swalla of Tecumseh; and many friends and extended family.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2018 and from 9:00 a.m. to service time on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. Family gathering to greet friends and family will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Cooper Funeral Home. Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Lockard and Lee Tate officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Family request in lieu of flowers to make donations to Tecumseh, First Baptist Church, Youth building fund or Gideon International.
