Vicki Lynn Lofton, 65, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away Monday, March 16, 2020 in Oklahoma City.

She was born February 21, 1955 to Phillip and Shirley Jean (Morrison) Pointer in Seminole, Oklahoma.

Vicki was raised in Seminole and graduated with the class of 1973 from Seminole High School. She earned her associate degree at Rose State College and her bachelor’s degree in applied science and paralegal from St. Gregory’s University.

She married Larry Lofton on July 23, 1976 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Vicki worked for Citizen Potawatomi Nation for 20 plus years.

She was a long time member of Rock Creek Baptist Church. Vicki was an excellent cook and was known for her peanut brittle. She loved cooking big family dinners for family and friends. Vicki was a talented singer and enjoyed karaoke, playing the piano and organ for many weddings and funerals around Seminole. She loved watching movies and spending time with her grandkids, family and friends. She loved angels, as she was one to many. She loved anything that sparkled and purple was her favorite color.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Robert “Pa” McKillop; and sister, Sandra Meir.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Larry Lofton of the home; daughter, Lori and Michael Jordan and their children, Ethan Lofton, Jacob Jordan; son, Brian Lofton and Raven Kroeger and their children, Matthew Lofton, Stephen Lofton, Taylor Lofton and Bailey Lofton; mother, Shirley McKillop; mother-in-law, Frances Lofton; brother, Phillip Shawn Pointer; many nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

A Special thank you to her friends and coworkers at CPN for all their love, prayers, gifts and support, the medical staff at Stephenson Cancer Center and OU Medical Center, Oklahoma Heart Hospital doctors and staff for all their care.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made in her name to the American Cancer Society and the Acute Myeloid Leukemia Lymphoma Society.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2020 and from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, Thursday, March 19, 2020.

Due to CDC Public Health Guidelines Services will be privately attended, but friends can view online via Sharon Baptist Church Facebook live or Vimeo Channels at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 19, 2020. Burial will be at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
