Carl Nelson Lackey, 75, Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He was born February 12, 1943 to Fred Nelson and Oney Marie Lackey in Orange, California.

Carl graduated from Orange High School in the class of 1960. He started his life long career as a truck driver hauling eggs for Olson Eggs. He has hauled many things in his career. But he mainly loved to haul Hay. He married Sharel Lee Ream on February 29, 1964 in Santa Ana, California.

Carl’s favorite pastime was to buy, sell, and trade. He was a member of Bethel Acres Assembly and always was helping others.

Carl loved being in his shop working on many projects. He frequented the weekly Thursday night auction in Maud. Special thanks to friends Roger and Kay Pitts

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Neva Dimmick.

Carl is survived by his wife, Sharel Lackey of the home; sons, Gregory Lackey of Shawnee; Mark and Lisa Boisvert of Boise, Idaho; grandchildren and spouses, Jessica and Frank Damron, Vicki Lackey, Gregory T. and Ashley Lackey; great grandchildren, Branson Damron, Sutton Baker, Gavin Lackey, Brooklyn Damron, and Eastlyn Damron.

Visitation will begin 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 11, 2018 and continue through service time., Service will 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Cooper Funeral Chapel with Reverend Larry Townsend of Bethel Acres Assembly officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
