Jasmine “Jazzy” Freeman, age 8, of South Rock Creek was carried by Angels into the Gates of Heaven and delivered into the arms of Jesus on Friday, February 16, 2018.

She was born on May 7, 2009 in Shawnee, Oklahoma where she was adopted by Kevin and Angela Freeman.

Jazzy was raised in Tecumseh and South Rock Creek.

Since the age of 2 ½ years old she has battled the Genetic Disorder known as Batten NCL2. Up to age 5 she loved to run, dance, and play, and had a smile on her face most of the time. Her two favorite songs were “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole and “Dora the Explorer”. Jazzy was a fighter, was very loveable and had a very sweet nature. She was a Daddy’s Girl and known for her smile and long red hair.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Jacklynn Wallace.

Those left to cherish her sweet memories are her parents, Kevin and Angela (Annanders) Freeman of the home; 5 sisters and 1 brother-in-law, Baylee and Francisco Cortez of Shawnee, OK, Makenze Freeman of Stroud, OK, Carol Freeman of Shawnee, OK, Gracie Freeman of Shawnee, OK and Tynlee Freeman of Shawnee, OK; 3 brothers, Brandon St. Clair of Shawnee, OK, Billy Wallace of Ft. Smith, AR and Zayden Freeman of Shawnee, OK; grandparents, Doug and Judy Freeman of Porum, OK, Delbert and Patricia Phillips of Shawnee, OK and Mike and Marilyn Annanders of Tecumseh, OK; and her loving family at The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital in Bethany, OK; and many loving friends and extended family members.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 22, 2018 and continue through service time. Family gathering to greet friends and family will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Cooper Funeral Home. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 23, 2018 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Clint Dawkins, Sharon Baptist Church and Ken Etchieson officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
