MARY MARTIN SCOTT

26 May 1938 - 11 Nov 2017

Mary (Martin) Scott, 79, of Macomb, was born May 26, 1938, in Tecumseh and passed away peacefully Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, in the arms of her husband of 59 years.

She was born and raised in Tecumseh and graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1956.

Mary was married to Tom Scott on Oct. 31, 1958.

She was a long time employee of Dr. Glenn Watson and worked for many years at Evangelistic Center Church.

Mary was a true Christian and lived her life accordingly, being a great Christian example for others. Her pride and joy was her only son, Doug. She was among the original members in founding of Evangelistic Center Church. She loved to go to church, shop and eat out. She worked at the church until her illness forced her to retire. Thanks to her husband Tom and the loving care of Hospice, she remained at home during her illness.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Sim and Ocie (Washburn) Martin; sisters, Stella Martin, Ruth Neal and Georgia Passons; and brother, Charles Martin.

She is survived by her husband, Tom Scott of the home; son, Doug Scott and wife Nancy of Perkins; sister, Sue Rodgers and husband, Bill of Oklahoma City; and numerous nieces, nephews and many loving friends.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 14, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 15, at Cooper Funeral Home.

Service will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 15, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Noah Willoughby of Evangelistic Center Church officiating. Burial will follow at Romulus Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
